Breast Asymmetry

Breast asymmetry is defined as breasts that are different in any of their aspects: size, shape, height, arrangement on the chest or nipple-areola diameter. Most women have breasts with a certain degree of asymmetry, which in cases may become more evident, creating self-confidence issues. The technical name for this asymmetry is anisomastia.

The correction of breast asymmetry may require techniques as simple as the use of different size implants, or more complex techniques such as mastopexy, breast remodelling, removal of part of the volume of a breast, among other treatments.
