There are several techniques for performing buttock remodelling. A proper initial physical examination is necessary to determine the particularities and needs of each case. The most appropriate treatment can then be established.
Buttock augmentation with prosthesis
In this treatment, the incision is made in the intergluteal fold. In this way the scar is hidden between the two buttocks and goes unnoticed. A pocket is created through an incision where the implant is placed centred in the buttock. After buttock augmentation, it is important to wear a compression garment for one month. Recovery takes approximately three weeks, with relative rest and avoidance of direct pressure on the buttocks during this time. The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and usually involves an overnight stay in hospital.
Buttock augmentation with fat
Unlike buttock augmentation with prosthesis, buttock augmentation with fat allows you to shape, increase volume and lift your buttocks in a natural way. Fat is extracted from areas where there is a surplus and then centrifuged and infiltrated into the buttocks. It requires two procedures in one (liposuction + buttock augmentation). This is performed with minimal incisions of less than 5 mm inserting a cannula to aspirate the fatty tissue in areas where it is unnoticeable. Recovery takes approximately three weeks, with relative rest and avoidance of direct pressure on the buttocks during this time.
