Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty

The fastest growing surgery in the last 5 years is undoubtedly ultrasonic rhinoplasty, considered the most advanced technique for bone surgery of the nose.

Why is ultrasonic rhinoplasty a good option?

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is the most advanced technique for nasal bone surgery. The piezotome emits highly precise ultrasonic energy through tiny blades that act only on hard structures, not soft tissues. Therefore, the ultrasound does not burn or damage the skin, but rather works deeper into the bone, avoiding damage to surrounding tissues. Furthermore, the piezotome only acts on the nasal bones, never on the cartilage.

Precision

Ultrasonic technology allows for the precise reshaping of nasal bones, achieving smoother, more natural, and harmonious results.

Security

It acts only on bone structures, protecting soft tissues, skin and cartilage from possible damage.

Greater comfort

It causes less trauma to the tissues, which reduces pain, inflammation, and bruising after surgery.

Faster recovery

The recovery process is faster, allowing you to return to daily activities sooner with less inflammation and discomfort.

Advantages of ultrasonic rhinoplasty

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty offers numerous advantages over traditional techniques. Thanks to ultrasonic technology, it’s possible to make bone cuts with greater precision, reduce tissue trauma, and improve the patient’s recovery process.

Advanced precision

Ultrasonic technology allows for precise cutting and polishing of the nasal bones, achieving more natural and harmonious results.

Greater security

Ultrasound acts only on bone structures, avoiding damage to soft tissues and blood vessels during surgery.

More natural results

The precision of the technique allows for rhinoplasties with fewer irregularities and asymmetries, achieving more balanced aesthetic results.

Faster recovery

The technique reduces inflammation, bruising, and pain, allowing for a faster recovery and an earlier return to daily life.

What to expect after surgery

After ultrasonic rhinoplasty, the recovery process is usually more comfortable than with traditional rhinoplasty. Thanks to the precision of ultrasonic technology, there is less trauma to the tissues, which helps reduce swelling and speed up the patient’s recovery.

01 — Precise bone remodeling

Ultrasonic technology allows for cutting and reshaping nasal bones with great precision, making controlled cuts instead of traditional fractures.

02 — Protection of soft tissues

Ultrasound acts only on the bone, avoiding damage to the skin, blood vessels and other nearby tissues.

03 — More comfortable recovery

The technique reduces inflammation, bruising, and discomfort, allowing for a faster recovery and a quicker return to daily activities.

Postoperative

The most invasive part of rhinoplasty is the fracturing of the nasal bones, also known as osteotomy. Unlike conventional rhinoplasty, which uses chisels and hammers, ultrasonic rhinoplasty offers the advantage of being much more precise, as the bones are cut with a pen-like instrument. This technique originated in brain surgery, allowing the skull bones to be cut without damaging the brain. The bones are not broken but rather cut to avoid damaging soft tissues and blood vessels.

What are the differences between ultrasonic rhinoplasty and traditional rhinoplasty?

The main difference is precision. In ultrasonic rhinoplasty, we have complete control over the amount of bone we file down and where we cut it. When performing a rhinoplasty, we first have to “file down” the excess bone, and for this, diamond files were previously used which, although precise, damaged the cartilage on the bridge of the nose, potentially creating irregularities.

Therefore, using the specific nasal dorsum end of the piezotome , we only file the bony dorsum, without damaging the cartilages, and we do this micron by micron, so the precision is absolute.

Whereas in conventional rhinoplasty the bones are broken using a chisel, a less precise technique than that achieved with the use of the piezotome , cutting the bone where we want.
